Learning to Love You More

So, this website is really awesome and if I had better internet access in my classroom I would use it all the time. There are certain tasks that different classrooms and other random people do and then they post results of their project on the website. They can then compare and contrast their results to others results around the world. I could see a lot of these prompts being pertinent in a social studies curriculum. For example this prompt about interviewing someone that has been in a war could provide a lot of useful information for students studying the effects of human conflict. I suggest that you do one...it is very rewarding:)

  1. This reminds me of a book I found in August, just before I started teaching my sixth grade students in Sept. I think it was titled Random Acts of Kindness..and it provided my approach to my Language Arts class for the entire year. Thanks for the idea....The site suggests huge possibilities for writing, thinking, and acting kindly.

  2. Hi Kimmy-
Thanks so much for sharing this! I really enjoyed poking around this website, and I agree that it is a great tool for teaching social studies. I especially like #67 Repair Something, and plan to incorporate it into lesson 3. Thank you!
