Great Book for Early Childhood Social Studies

I was talking with my friend about this class.  She is an excellent kindergarten teacher, and I have spent lots of time in her classroom.  Her social studies curriculum has always been fantastic.  I asked her for any suggestions.  She recommended the following book.  In addition to providing a thoughtful examination of a variety of topics, the book also makes some recommendations of technologies, websites and books that can be used in support of early childhood social studies curriculums.
