Article for Exploration
In beginning to explore resources and articles for use with our curriculum design project, I found this article. It discusses some of the current practices in the teaching of social studies within special education classrooms, with a focus on the self-contained classroom. Having taught in self-contained settings, I found the results of this study really did a good job of highlighting the realities of social studies in a special education setting.

KK, can we use this article as one of our articles to formal reading response?
ReplyDeleteI ask that you respond to one of the required readings. This way classmates can respond because they all read it. However, it would be great if you did an additional response.
